What is the Sigma Trade-Up Program?
Trade your eligible used camera or lens and receive an instant discount code for use online at sigmaphoto.com. This promotion is valid only in US.
How do I start my trade-up?
- Use the Search field to check the eligibility of your camera or lens. Then select your gear’s estimated condition from the options provided.
- Enter your information (name, email address, etc.) and click Submit.
- UsedPhotoPro will provide an instant estimate of the value of your gear.*
- Sigma will also provide a discount code that can be used immediately at sigmaphoto.com.
*Estimated gear value may differ from the final value. A final offer will be made after UsedPhotoPro has received the gear and physically inspected and verified its condition.
What items can I trade?
UsedPhotoPro (UPP) accepts a wide range of cameras, lenses, and photography equipment from leading brands. Please note that eligibility is determined during the appraisal process, and this list is subject to change.
Accepted items include:
- Panasonic LUMIX: S Series bodies and lenses, G Series bodies and lenses, Point and Shoot
- Canon: EOS R bodies, DSLR bodies, Point and Shoots, RF lenses
- Sony: E-Mount bodies and lenses, FX Series, DSLR bodies, Point and Shoots
- Nikon: Z bodies and lenses (including F lenses), DSLR bodies, Point and Shoots
- Fujifilm: X or GF bodies and lenses, GFX Series, Point and Shoot
- Olympus/OM Systems: Micro four thirds bodies and lenses
- Ricoh: Pentax Series, DSLM Models
- Third-party lenses: RF mount, E Mount, Z Mount, L Mount, X, GF, M43
- Representative examples only; not all models are guaranteed to be eligible.
The following items are generally not eligible for trade-up (this list is subject to change):
- Polaroid cameras
- Video cameras (will take if it has an SD card slot)
- Darkroom equipment or supplies
- Light stands
- Old studio lights
How do I make my Sigma purchase?
Select your new Sigma product from our online store, then enter your discount code at checkout. Your discount code can only be used once and is valid for 14 days from when it was issued.
What Sigma products are eligible for purchase with the discount coupon code?
The discount coupon code is valid for new/current Sigma cameras, lenses, or Mount Converters and Teleconverters available at sigmaphoto.com.
It is not valid for any Cine products, Refurbished products, and accessories (with the exception of the eligible Mount Converters and Teleconverters).
How do I complete my gear trade-up?
If you accept the estimated value, UsedPhotoPro will email you a pre-paid shipping label along with instructions on shipping your gear for inspection and payment.
How does UsedPhotoPro determine the value of my trade-up gear?
Value is determined by a mix of factors including camera/lens model, condition, and market demand. In some cases, including original accessories can increase your trade-up value, but this is not always required.
Do I have to send in my gear before I can use the Sigma discount code?
No, your discount code can be used right away at sigmaphoto.com
What if I disagree with UsedPhotoPro’s final trade-up offer?
If you are not satisfied with the offer you receive after inspection, UsedPhotoPro will return your gear to you at no charge. You will simply need to confirm your return address. You can work with your UsedPhotoPro contact that you will be corresponding with directly or you may email them at [email protected] to initiate this process.
I sent in my gear but haven’t used my discount code yet. How long do I have to use it?
The discount code is valid for 14 days from the date it was issued.
I made a purchase using my discount code but did not send in my trade-up gear. What are my options?
Should you use your discount and not send in your trade-up, UsedPhotoPro will reach out to provide you a chance to clarify the situation.
Please note that, depending on the circumstances, failing to complete the trade-up may be considered misuse of the program and could result in further action.

Can I trade in more than one item at a time?
You may trade in up to five items per submission. If you have more than five items, you will need to complete an additional submission form. You will receive one discount code per submission.
How long does the trade-up process take?
From submission to final credit, the process typically takes 5–10 business days (assuming you send your gear in immediately).
How will I receive payment for the gear I traded in?
UsedPhotoPro will issue payment either via check mailed to your address or electronically via PayPal.
My coupon expired before I had a chance to use it. What now?
You will need to re-apply for the trade-up bonus and submit your online quote again in order to receive a new unique coupon code.
Can I combine my trade-up discount code with other promotions?
The trade-up discount code can be applied to already discounted eligible products.
Can I use my trade-up discount anywhere else?
The trade-up discount code is only valid for use on eligible products online at sigmaphoto.com.
Can I return or exchange an item I used my trade-up discount code on?
Yes, our standard return policy applies to any purchases made using the trade-up discount code.
Is there a limit to how many items I can trade?
No. However, you may only trade up to five items per submission. If you have more than five items, you will need to complete an additional submission form.
